UPRERA Seeks Smart Court Development using AI and Technology, Invites EOI

UP RERA aims to create a Smart Court that will streamline the processing of complaints in a fair, explainable, efficient, and timely manner.

The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UPRERA) is seeking interest from Indian consulting and information technology firms to develop and implement an intelligent quasi judicial decision making system called Smart Court.

By utilizing cutting edge technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), natural language processing, and machine learning, UP RERA aims to create a Smart Court that will streamline the processing of complaints in a fair, explainable, efficient, and timely manner.

The COVID19 pandemic has accelerated the digitization of the ecourt system, leading to the establishment of virtual courts and the adoption of online dispute resolution methods. These technologies can be employed in various activities, including smart complaint filing, scheduling hearings, intelligent case prioritization, issuing notifications, generating cause lists, tracking cases, and even more advanced tasks such as document discovery and review.

AI technology will be instrumental in developing three main types of systems supportive systems that inform, support, and advise quasi judicial system users function based automation systems that replace humans in routine tasks and autonomous systems that assist presiding officers in decision making. The deadline for submitting EOI (expressions of interest) is May 26, 2023, at 3 pm.
