Noida society demands bachelor tenants to vacate homes

After Twin Towers demolition, Supertech Emerald Court is again in the news, but for another reason. After receiving numerous complaints from its residents, the RWA of Emerald Court has issued notices to bachelor tenants to vacate their premises within three months.

Citing violations of its rules, the residential body of the posh society, Supertech Emerald Court in Sector 93A, Noida, recently issued notices to bachelor tenants directing them to vacate the premises. The body claimed that they had been getting complaints from other residents basis which they had to issue the notices.

Why did the RWA issue notices to vacate homes?
The RWA shares that some cases have come to the fore where the rent agreement is made in the name of one person but the said property is sub let to multiple bachelors.

On this, Uday Bhan Singh Teotia, President, Residents Association, Emerald Court, said, This is not a new rule. We were getting complaints related to violation of an existing rule to not operate PG homes in the society.

When was the notice to vacate homes issued?
After receiving several complaints from the residents, the RWA released a notice in November to all the bachelor tenants to vacate the premises. All the bachelor tenants are given 2 to 3 months to vacate the properties.

What do the tenants say?
It is a known fact that bachelors find it difficult to rent accommodation in residential societies. The tenants have highlighted that people outright deny giving their property on rent to bachelors. They are then left with the only option to go through brokers who charge a lot of money to arrange accommodation for them.
