The 29 km (16-lane) stretch of NH-8 has four multi-level interchanges and is a signal-free highway. The engineering marvel has three-lane service lanes on either side of the motorway, four multi-level interchanges, and numerous crossroad underpasses at major junctions.

The Haryana Government has planned a Mass Rapid Transit System Corridor (or metro rail) along the Dwarka Expressway as part of its development plans for the Gurgaon-Manesar Urban Complex. This will commence in Dwarka and run to Manesar and Neemrana via a metro hub being built on a 162-acre tract at Kherki Daula alongside the new Interstate Bus Terminal.

A dedicated underpass will be built through Vatika INXT2, linking NH 352W to Dwarka Expressway (NH 248BB).

This world-class corridor will have advanced Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) such as Advanced Traffic Management System, Toll Management System, CCTV Cameras, Surveillance, etc.
As of October 2023, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is conducting a safety audit of the Dwarka Expressway constructed under packages three and four in Gurugram. The audit is being carried out ahead of the highway's anticipated opening by November-end 2023.

NHAI plans to open the stretch under packages one and two in Delhi partially by February 2024, as over 80% of work on that stretch has been completed.
The entire road is expected to become operational by August 2024.
Almost 99% of the work on the Gurugram section has been completed, and the safety audit is being conducted by a firm whose recommendations will be shared soon.
The audit report will be used to take remedial measures, after which the Gurugram section of the Dwarka Expressway will open by the end of November.
This super highway through New Gurgaon has resulted in the development of many new houses and residential housing projects. Sectors 83, 84, and 99-113 are residential sectors along the route, whereas sectors 105, 106, 109, 110, 110A, 111, 112, and 113 are commercial hubs.

The Dwarka Expressway map depicts the expanse of the Dwarka Expressway. The 29-kilometre-long Dwarka Expressway map begins at Shiv Murti in Delhi on NH-8, passes through UER-II (parallel to Terminal-3 of Delhi Airport), continues to Barthal Chowk (junction of sectors 25-26 Dwarka), then turns left and continues straight to Kherki Daula in Gurugram, and ends on NH-8, approximately one km before the Kherki Daula toll plaza at SPR, CPR junction.
The Dwarka Expressway New Gurgaon project has been divided into four packages: two within Delhi, totalling 10.1 km, and two within Gurugram totalling 19 km. Prakhar Sahay on YouTube has gone to great lengths about all packages' alignment, features, and interchanges.
