New Delhi: A group of home buyers on Sunday protested outside the ATS Greens Infrastructure office in Noida Sector 150 over the delayed possession of flats under the project named ATS PRISTINE-II. More than 50 flat owners, including toddlers, protested outside with placards saying ‘ATS LIAR’. They also raised slogans against the real estate developer.

The residential project was announced by ATS in 2016 and ATS Greens Infrastructure had promised that it will give possession of the flats to the buyers by 2019.

There are around 400 flats each costing roughly around Rs 1 crore. While over 100 flat owners have made full payment, others have paid around 70 to 80 per cent of the total cost.

A flat owner told News9live that the builder is making fake promises for over two and half years and has even denied any compensation payment.

“We were promised possession of flats in 2019. It was further delayed to 2020 and even in 2022, we are yet to get clarity on when we will be able to shift in our flats. I had paid 90 per cent of the total amount. Earlier this year, they asked us to pay the remaining amount in May and promised to give possession in the next three months. But they are yet to start the finishing work,” a buyer told News9live.

For some of the buyers, the remaining amount was 30 per cent – depending on the scheme they had opted for while buying the flat.
Moreover, flat owners claimed that the builder had denied any compensation payment despite the fact that it was promised in in the builder-buyer agreement.

After the protest by buyers, the company sent a mail to buyers promising that work at the site would resume within this week.

“Our team has been tirelessly working towards the final finishing of Project “ATS PRISTINE-II. The project is now in its final phase & is nearing handover. We are elated & proud to inform you that we have been successful in bringing you one step closer to your dream home & would like you to be a part of the journey towards completion of ATS PRISTINE-II. We also like to update you that work will resume at the site within this week,” the mail reads.
“It would be our pleasure to welcome you to the project site over the weekend in case you wish to see the work in progress of your joyous home,” it added.

However, homebuyers believe this is another fake promise made by the builder and are planning another protest on Friday.

“They have been making such promises for a long. We have been told that the work will start on Wednesday.
