Greater Noida Authority allows registry of over 2,200 flats

In a move that will benefit homebuyers in three housing projects in Greater Noida, the Authority has given permission to register 2,200 flats. The Authority made the decision after the developers cleared their pending dues with the Authority for their respective housing projects.

The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has allowed registration of over 2,200 flats situated in Sectors 16 and 1 in Greater Noida. This news would benefit home buyers waiting to get possession of their homes. This development comes on the back of dues being cleared by three builders for their projects. However, officials have clarified that these payments were not made as a part of the new policy for rescheduling dues payments by builders. No further details on the amounts paid have been shared.

Which projects will be benefitted from GNIDAs directions?
The recent decision by GNIDA will allow the registration of 746 flats at Gulshan Bellina, being developed by Gulshan Developers. This group housing project is located in Sector 16, Greater Noida and covers an area of over 28,000 sq mtrs. Also, 536 apartments at CRC Sublimis, a housing project by Enticement Ltd, can now be registered with the Authority. It is located in Sector 1 and has a size of over 20,000 sq mtrs.

However, a maximum number of homes are part of the ATS Destinire housing project by Starcity Real Estate. A total of 933 flats would be eligible for registration in this project, spread over 42,165 sq mtrs.

When will the buyers be able to register their properties in Greater Noida?
The GNIDA has planned to organise special camps in anticipation of a rush for registries of flats. The camps have started on January 9, 2023 and will be held till February 8, 2023 for the convenience of home buyers.

As per the estimates of the Authority, out of 195 housing plots allotted to builders, only 61 have been finished. At the same time, the rest are in various stages of construction. Over 1.50 lakh buyers have invested in such housing projects. With the Greater Noida Authority pushing for dues clearance by builders, it is expected that more flats will be up for registration soon.
