Yamuna Expressway Authority allots 2 out of 5 data centre plots, eyes Rs 1,757 crore investment

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has allotted two out of five data centre plots in Sector 28 of the Delhi suburb, a move that will fetch the authority Rs 59.17 crore revenue
According to the authority, an investment of Rs 1,757.45 crore is proposed on these two data centre plots that will generate an estimated 775 jobs.
YEIDA launched the scheme for the sale of five data centre plots in Sector 28, along the Yamuna Expressway linking Noida and Agra, on September 27, 2023. The scheme closed on October 26. Under the scheme, three plots of 20,000 square metres, and one plot each of 40,000 sq m and 1,25,660 sq m were offered.

The plots were allotted based on interviews and evaluations of the companies’ profiles. A meeting of the allotment committee was convened on November 7 where the interviews were conducted and profiles checked to shortlist applicants.
